Sponsors

Wren Academy Enfield and Wren Academy Finchley are both part of the Wren Academies Trust, which is a sponsored Multi Academy Trust (MAT).  Academy sponsors are legally responsible for their schools. They appoint the Governing Body, they set the Academy's budget and they ensure that strategic priorities are achieved. Wren has two sponsors.

Our main sponsor is the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the Church of England's body responsible for overseeing both primary and secondary schools in the London Diocese.  Their vision is one of service to people of all faiths and backgrounds.  The LDBS has a long and successful history of involvement in the educational, social and spiritual development of young people.

As well as Wren, the LDBS supports nearly 150 Church of England schools in London, including 20 secondary schools.

Wren has as our co-sponsor, Berkhamsted School.  Berkhamsted is one of the country's leading independent schools, established during the sixteenth century.  Wren and Berkhamsted have forged an innovative and successful partnership between the state and independent sectors.
