Maintaining excellent attendanceis key to successful learning. At Wren Academy, students will be encouraged to have 100% attendance. Students arriving after 9.30am will be counted as absent.
If your child is absent then you must email the Academy at attendance@wrenacademyenfield.org by 8.35am on the first day of absence. If your child is absent for more than three consecutive school days, you must send an email or letter on the third day of absence explaining why they are away.
Parents are requested not to arrange family holidays or visits during term time. Applications for such visits will not be approved and will count as unauthorised absence. If you wish to request leave of absence during term time, please complete and submit the form below for the Principal to consider. All requests for leave of absencemust be submitted at least three days in advance.
Punctuality is essential for students’ readiness to learn and engagement with Collective Worship and Tutorial Resources. Students must be at their tutor room or Collective Worship location by 8.35am each morning.
Students arriving between 8.35am and 8.55am will be marked late and given a reflection to be completed for that same day. Students who are late to school three or more times within a given half term will be issued with a one-hour reflection to be completed on the same day. Parents and Carers will receive a notification text during the school day if their child has been issued with an hour reflection.
Students arriving after 8.55am should sign in at Student Services Office before going to their lessons. Absence due to late arrival after 8.55am, without relevant authorization, will be recorded as unauthorised absence.
Students will be required to make up all learning time lost through lateness.
