We understand that reading forms an essential component of students' learning journey, and that building on the skill of reading is a transformative element of students' learning. Students carry a reading book as part of their equipment and engage in daily silent reading in English lessons throughout their Key Stage 3 experience. As part of the National Year of Reading, we are celebrating reading 
through involvement in the 'Unlocking Reading' programme led by the FFT.
